IF YOU ARE NOT AN EMT...
Currently, we only have service opportunities for certified EMT’s. However, we suggest that if you are interested, you should become certified and join us!
Unfortunately, the BMRC does not offer an EMT course. EMT courses can be taken on campus with the Bear EMT program, at certification companies, or at junior colleges.
Prior to taking an EMT class you must become CPR certified. The BMRC offers CPR courses. More information about this course can be found on our website under the "CPR Classes" tab or on our Facebook page here. If you have any other questions on how to join, please contact us! Also, feel free to come to the first general meeting at the beginning of next semester to learn more about the BMRC and how to become an EMT.
At the beginning of each semester, we hold a general meeting that covers how to apply. The logistics for our meeting will be posted on both our Facebook page (here) and website.
The application process involves an application form, skills testing, and a physical. If you have completed your EMT class and you are waiting to take the NREMT exam or to receive your CA card, come to the first general meeting anyways. We allow you to begin your application process while you are waiting to finish your exam or licensure. This allows you to join the BMRC and learn our policies and expectations so that you are able to work events as soon as your full licensing process is finished.
Here is a link to a google document with information on how to apply for both your CA card and membership to the BMRC!
As always, please reach out to us with any questions you may have!
