BERKELEY MEDICAL RESERVE CORPS
The Berkeley Medical Reserve Corps is a federally deployable responder unit of EMT-Bs on the UC Berkeley campus. We are also the first ever student run Medical Reserve Corps on the West Coast! In order to prepare for disasters, we participate in various mass casualty incident drills.
Outside of disaster preparedness we work a wide variety of events on the UC Berkeley campus and in the community. A sample of the events we work includes all major Cal sporting events, Cal campus events such as the Clinton Global Initiative, and major Bay Area events such as The San Francisco Marathon and Bay to Breakers. The BMRC also teaches CPR classes; for more information click the "CPR classes" tab.
Members of the BMRC meet every other week for skills training and practice. These meetings give all members the ability to continue to train in order to provide exceptional health care to any patients we encounter.
