Stop the Bleed

Stop The Bleed (STB) is a free two-part training program that lasts between

1-2 hours depending on the size of the participating organization and amount of BMRC volunteers (ranging from 1-4). In this course, participants will be taught how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly to control it with 3 different techniques. After a brief lecture, BMRC instructors will teach participants these hands-on skills in small groups, using manikins and special materials. You will practice (1) applying direct pressure, (2) packing a wound, and (3) applying a tourniquet.

CPR/AED (Non-Certifying)

Non-certifying CPR/AED training is a free training program that lasts between 1.5-2.5 hours depending on the range of topics desired to be covered, the size of the participating organization, and amount of BMRC volunteers (ranging from 1-4). In this course, participants will be taught how to recognize cardiac arrest and how to immediately spring into action. This course is highly personalized as the topics can be purely focused on addressing adult cardiac arrest or can also cover children and infant CPR scenarios. In other words, the 1 hour estimate is for adult CPR only, whereas the 2.5 hours is for the entire curriculum.
